Little Princess Noa

August 24th, 2011 | Newborns, Portraiture, Raanana Portrait Photographer, Sarah Raanan

Phew! It’s been a long time away from my desk. I haven’t blogged since June; where did the summer go!? I made a decision this year that most of July and August would be dedicated to my kids, with as little iphone and computer time as possible. I am proud to say that I have stuck to it and as a result, have had such a great summer with them.

The flip side of that of course is that now I am back to work, I have a pile of orders to get through and 9 session booked so far within the next four weeks. Time for me and my camera to get re acquainted :)

So, before I start blogging August sessions, i have to just play catch up and add this newborn session from July

Isnt it crazy; she was just a week old here and already I could see family resemblances in her face…

What a doll hey? She was so good. I schlepped her about a lot but she just stayed sleepy…

I just had to include this ‘leaf’ image, hilarious! Not only will this little princess have two big brother fiercely protecting her but she can also count on her daddy, who is already worrying about her modesty and went to grab this leaf to make sure she was suitably covered up! :)

(She found it funny too :) )

Last of the Spring Mini sessions!

May 25th, 2011 | Children, Families, Mini Sessions, Park, Portraiture, Raanana Portrait Photographer, Sarah Raanan

“The naked earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun’s kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze.
~Julian Grenfell”

The Spring Mini sessions have been amazing but my clients have been internet shy! I ALWAYS repect my clients’ rights to say ‘no’ to posting their images on my blog or Facebook, but of course am always thrilled when they say ‘yes’ to sharing online!

Luckily for me, for my final ‘Mini’, I have a client who has given permission to post her beautiful images to my blog.

It always amazes me what we can achieve in just 30 minutes; and how once again I am in love with a whole new set of images and find myself having great difficulty choosing!

Beautiful, beautiful boys….

And what a wonderful birthday present they gave to their mummy :)

The Mamarazzi Workshops Round 2 – Learn how to photograph your children & love it!

February 13th, 2011 | Raanana Portrait Photographer, Sarah Raanan, Workshops

As a slightly photo obsessed mother, I know how important it is to have great photos of your family and loved ones. I can’t begin to describe the joy & pleasure I got from wading through 12 years of my daughter’s photos for her Bat Mitzvah slide show and finding that every image I chose was an image I was proud to show!
Taking your children and family to a professional photographer a few times a year is an incredibly important way to document your family’s milestones, but as a mother to small children who are changing almost on a weekly basis, you need a way to fill the gaps between photography sessions.

I have developed this workshop for mothers who feel the same way i do about capturing our children’s fleeting childhoods on camera (Of course, savtas, sisters and aunties are welcome too!) If you want to know how to take better pictures of your baby, children and family in between professional photo shoots, this is the workshop
for you. The first round of Mamarazzi Workshops were such a success that I am now running another one for all those who couldn’t attend the first time!!

Details:
Thursday March 10th, 8-10pm at the home of Andi Saitowitz 29/1 Rechov Golomb, Raanana

The cost is 140 NIS for the 2 hour workshop and the workshop booklet.

This two-hour class with Sarah Raanan will teach you all you’ve always wanted to know to help you capture great images of your children, grand-children and families!

When you register, you can also email a picture of your child/grandchild that you have taken and enter to win a complimentary portrait session and a disc of up to 15 4×6 size images from Sarah Raanan Photography.

Call me or email me for more info and to sign up – spaces are very limited

Looking forward!
Sarah Raanan

Serious case of blog neglect

February 1st, 2011 | Families, Park, Portraiture, Raanana Portrait Photographer, Sarah Raanan, teens

Hmmmmm, slap of the wrist. Have some really great sessions that never made it to the blog, due to house moving craziness

Like this session. Two brothers who miraculously agreed when their mother told them they had to get together for a photo session. Not only did they agree, but they had FUN!

Take a look….

March Mamarazzi Workshop now open for registration!

January 10th, 2011 | Raanana Portrait Photographer, Sarah Raanan, Workshops

The Mamarazzi Workshops Round 2!! – Learn how to photograph your children & love it!

Taking your children and family to a professional photographer a few times a year is an incredibly important way to document your family’s milestones, but as a mother to small children who are changing almost on a weekly basis, you need a way to fill the gaps between photography sessions.

I have developed this workshop for mothers/grandmothers who feel the same way i do about capturing our children or grand-children’s fleeting childhoods on camera. If you want to know how to take better pictures of your baby, children and grand-children in between professional photo shoots, this is the workshop for you. In this two hour workshop, I will teach you how to transform your average snapshots into amazing images you and your family will cherish!

After the success of the December workshops, and many phonecalls and emails from disappointed Mamas who couldnt make it to the last round, I am planning on running another workshop in March. I already have a lot of names down for the next round, enough to fill a whole workshop, but if I get even more people signed up, I may be able to open two classes, one morning and one evening, which will hopefully make everyone happy!

Dates and exact location are not fixed yet, to be announced soon (workshops will be somewhere in Raanana)….

Leave me a comment at the bottom of this post if you are interested in hearing more and make sure you specify whether mornings or evenings suit you best. Please also let me know if you would be willing to host a workshop (approx 12 people). Feel free to forward this link to your family & friends!

I would be interested in attending an evening workshop and might be able to host one, if needed.
